Well-suited to tidal shorelines and streambank stabilization, with some salt tolerance. Will grow in saturated soils on toe of slopes. Behaves as more of a sod-forming grass under more saturated conditions. Latest maturing tall eastern ecotype, but less biiomass than 'Timber'.
