Seed at 20 lbs/acre with a cover crop. For a cover crop on areas that should not experience flooding, use one of the following: grain oats (30 lbs/acre; 1 Jan to 30 Apr), brown top millet (10 lbs/acre; 1 May to 31 Aug), or Grain Rye (30 lbs/acre; 1 Sep to 31 Dec). If flooding may occur, use grain rye (30 lbs/are; 1 Sep to 30 Apr) or Japanese Millet (10 lbs/acre; 1 May to 31 Aug).
